As part of the Southwest Love grant, Downtown ABQ MainStreet contracted with Ms. Negrette to guest teach in the UNM Design Planning and Assistance Center (DPAC) in order to develop tactical urbanism projects to activate the Civic Plaza and to develop placemaking activities. Ms. Negrette worked with a team of 6 students to design and build “lighter, quicker, cheaper” installations to improve comfort for pedestrians and activate Albuquerque’s Civic Plaza.
